Sister Sin Lyrics - Nickelback

[Verse 1:]
Yeah the lady and me both agree some days we just don't get along
But the whiskey and me both agree maybe we both just better off
Well the preacher believes that I'll meet all of these demons hanging on
But we both know if they don't, I'll get lonely, need a few to tag along

[Pre-Chorus:]
Hanging here by a thread
Hear a voice inside my head

[Chorus:]
Lie me beside you every night
And dread the day you might be gone
She said "In case you hadn't noticed that
Played second fiddle to the bottle for a little too long (no)
And I'm not about to anymore"

[Verse 2:]
Now the wagon I'm in's paper thin
I think one wheel's coming off
Hey sister sin with that grin, where you been?
So kind of you to help me out

[Pre-Chorus + Chorus]

[Bridge x2:]
Fall from grace, kingdom come
Lying face down in the mud
Please don't hate, look don't judge
For I know not just what I've done

[Refrain:]
Lying face down in the mud
For I know not just what I've done
For I know not just what I've done

[Chorus x2].

She Keeps Me Up Lyrics - Nickelback

She's got me nervous
Talkin' a hundred miles an hour
She's more than worth it
I swear she smells just like a flower
I'd fall to pieces if I went anywhere without her
I love when she says "what's wrong with right here on the counter?"

Funky little monkey, she's a twisted trickster
Everybody wants to be the sister's mister
Coca-Cola rollercoaster
Love her even though I'm not supposed to.

Funky little monkey, she's a twisted trickster
Everybody wants to be the sister's mister
Coca-Cola rollercoaster
Love her even though I'm not supposed to.

She keeps me up (I keep you up)
She keeps me up (I keep you up)
All night (All night)
All night (All night)

She keeps me up (I keep you up)
She keeps me up (I keep you up)
All night (All night)
All night (All night)

I need her so bad,
Sometimes I feel like I can taste it
This evil romance
So good I never wanna waste it
I can't trust my friends
'Cause she's what everybody chases
I know where she's been
'Cause it's on everybody's faces

I never wanna have to slow down
Got to be a better way to come down
I've gotta stay awake some how

I never wanna have to slow down
Got to be a better way to come down
I've gotta stay awake some how.

Night Changes Lyrics - One Direction

Going out tonight
Changes into something red
Her mother doesn't like that kind of dress
Everything she never had she's showing off

Driving too fast
Moon is breaking through her hair
She's heading for something that she won't forget
Having no regrets is all that she really wants

We're only getting older, baby
And I've been thinking about it lately
Does it ever drive you crazy
Just how fast the night changes?
Everything that you've ever dreamed of
Disappearing when you wake up
But there's nothing to be afraid of
Even when the night changes
It will never change me and you

Chasing it tonight,
Doubts are running ‘round her head
He's waiting, hides behind a cigarette
Heart is beating loud, and she doesn't want it to stop

Moving too fast
Moon is lighting up her skin
She's falling, doesn't even know it yet
Having no regrets is all that she really wants

We're only getting older, baby
And I've been thinking about it lately
Does it ever drive you crazy
Just how fast the night changes?
Everything that you've ever dreamed of
Disappearing when you wake up
But there's nothing to be afraid of
Even when the night changes
It will never change me and you

Going out tonight
Changes into something red
Her mother doesn't like that kind of dress
Reminds her of a missing piece of innocence she lost

We're only getting older, baby
And I've been thinking about it lately
Does it ever drive you crazy
Just how fast the night changes?
Everything that you've ever dreamed of
Disappearing when you wake up
But there's nothing to be afraid of
Even when the night changes
It will never change, baby
It will never change, baby
It will never change me and you.

Cadillactica Lyrics - BIG K.R.I.T

[Intro:]
Cadillac lac lac lac, Cadillac lac lac lac
Cadillac lac lac lac, Cadillac lac lac lac, lac
Cadillac lac lac lac, Cadillac lac lac lac
Cadillac lac lac lac, Cadillac lac lac lac, lac
Cadillac lac lac lac, Cadillac lac lac lac
Cadillac lac lac lac, Cadillac lac lac lac, lac

[Verse 1:]

Uh, what you think a real nigga rap for?
So I can roll around in a Rav 4? Never that
Cadillac pimped out, fish bowl, true vogues
Fifteens, but I had to go and get two mo
Whassup, get buck, shake junt killa
DJ booth with the pole in the middle
For the edge of the rest to go flash up a bitch
See how far these vegetables get us
Pour up, the show up, the focus
The doors ain't typical when they get open, hol' up
You ain't never been sky high
Swear I coulda died when I hopped out my ride
Like four-five times, no parachute
Bungee jump for the loot
Hock a loogie off the roof, what I feel like
Porn on the screen, two hoes on the scene tongue kissin'
You would think my whip dyke
Cadillac lac lac lac, Cadillac lac lac lac, too early for the hook
Not sure if it's the sawed-off for the bass in the trunk
That keep a nigga shook
Careful no crook, tell a bitch look
How I work the wheel and the crisis
Police behind us my index was grinding her pussy like rhyme with no timin'
I think I'm nicest of all (all, all, all)
That's the way I feel, bitch! Crawl (crawl, crawl, crawl)
Why you showing your grill, bitch? (all, all, all)
Uh, I'm way outta here, don't get lost
I come in peace from somewhere unique
Have no fear, uh

[Hook:]

Cadillac lac lac lac, Cadillac lac lac lac
Cadillac lac lac lac, Cadillac lac lac lac, lac
FUCK YO WHIP, NIGGA!
Cadillac lac lac lac, Cadillac lac lac lac
Cadillac lac lac lac, Cadillac lac lac lac, lac
I TOOK YO BITCH, NIGGA!
Cadillac lac lac lac, Cadillac lac lac lac
Cadillac lac lac lac, Cadillac lac lac lac, lac
FUCK YO WHIP, NIGGA!
Cadillac lac lac lac, Cadillac lac lac lac
Cadillac lac lac lac, Cadillac lac lac lac, lac
I TOOK YO BITCH, NIGGA!

[Verse 2:]

Uh, what you think a real nigga rap for?
So I can roll around with a nympho? Yessir
Twenty five lighters on my dresser, the best of
Versace, Versace, Versace, my bezel
The bass and the treble will beat, ho
Komodo with the .44 when creeping, slow
I pull up on the high side, God give me high five
Every time I holla, " I thank you Lawd"
Jesus please, don't let the jackers take what's mine
Hate to have to black out reason to dance to the Lac ‘fore they act right
Cause a nigga act like I'ma just back down
And I'ma put some vogues on these toes bitch
I blew the back out the trunk with the fifth wheel slump
It's some neon that's red, that's my old shit
But this some cold shit
That my granddaddy wish he could have drove then passed down
So in honor of Zebby, I bring a ho down like a levee
When I slab 'round in this glass house
See, in the end it was easy pimpin' 'fore you even finished
When a trick trippin' you ain't need her with it
Shooting outside the Lac trying to ease in it
She might fall, fall, fall, fall, fall
It ain't really that high, bitch (crawl, crawl, crawl, crawl, crawl)
Why you showing your grill, bitch? (off, off, off, off, off)
Uh, I'm way outta here, don't get lost
I come in peace for someone unique
Have no fear, uh!

[Hook]

[Verse 3:]

Slabbin round, my windows down, you hear the sound
That sonic boom, that ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-bass
That shake your baby momma crib
Pardon me if I phone home 4000 miles away from where you at
If you ain't holdin back I can take your whip
C-A-D-I-Double L-A-C-T-I-C-A
C-A-D-I-Double L-A-C-T-I-C-A
C-A-D-I-Double L-A-C-T-I-C-A
C-A-D-I-Double L-A-C-T-I-C-A , K-R-I-T Forever.

Adore You Lyrics - Miley Cyrus

Oh, hey, oh

Baby, baby, are you listening?
Wondering where you've been all my life
I just started living
Oh, baby, are you listening?

When you say you love me
Know I love you more
And when you say you need me
Know I need you more
Boy, I adore you, I adore you

Baby, can you hear me?
When I'm crying out for you
I'm scared oh, so scared
But when you're near me
I feel like I'm standing with an army
Of men armed with weapons, hey, oh

When you say you love me
Know I love you more
And when you say you need me
Know I need you more
Boy, I adore you, I adore you

I love lying next to you
I could do this for eternity
You and me—we're meant to be
In holy matrimony
God knew exactly what he was doing
When he led me to you

When you say you love me
Know I love you more (I love you more)
And when you say you need me
Know I need you more
Boy, I adore you, I adore you

When you say you love me
Know I love you more
And when you say you need me
Know I need you more
Boy, I adore you, I adore you.

Hail To The King Lyrics - Avenged Sevenfold

Watch your tongue or have it cut from your head
Save your life by keeping whispers unsaid
Children roam the streets, now orphans of war
Bodies hanging in the streets to adore

Royal flames will carve a path in chaos,
Bringing daylight to the night
Death is riding into town with armor,
They've come to take all your rights

Hail to the king, hail to the one
Kneel to the crown, stand in the sun
Hail to the king

Hail!
Hail!
Hail!
The King...

Blood is spilt while holding keys to the throne
Born again, but it's too late to atone
No mercy from the edge of the blade
Dare escape and learn the price to be paid

Let the water flow with shades of red now
Arrows black out all the light (light)
Death is riding into town with armor,
They've come to grant you your rights

Hail to the king, hail to the one
Kneel to the crown, stand in the sun
Hail to the king

Hail!
Hail!
Hail!
The King...

[Solo]

There's a taste of fear (hail, hail, hail)
When the henchmen call (hail, hail, hail)
Iron fist to tame the land (hail, hail, hail)
Iron fist to claim it all

Hail to the king, hail to the one
Kneel to the crown, stand in the sun

Hail to the king, hail to the one
Kneel to the crown, stand in the sun
Hail to the king!

Hail!
Hail!
Hail!.

Live And Let Go (feat. Brother Ali & Maverick Sabre) Lyrics - Hilltop Hoods

[Hook - Maverick Sabre:]
All these days I’ve been broken and hopeless
And I, and I don’t feel like I’m coping, I’m hoping
That I, that I can live and let go
So I can get through it
Yeah, I can live and let go
So I can get through this

[Verse 1 - Suffa:]
You know the pain can
Hang in the air like cigarette smoke, right?
Sometimes trying to live and let go
Like trying to talk with a mouth full of sediment though
I’m trying to crawl out the scattered missile
I can see through the eyes of a loved one, eyes of an enemy
Rising above sometimes takes a pedigree
That I fear that I don’t posses
And turns hope into hopelessness
But I won't depress
Won’t let life wear me down
Staring down as the troubles all rush past
Some part can wear me down
But wear a frown like a handlebar mustache
So we live, I forgive and forget
Rather than to live with regret
It's like living with debt
It’s a weight that'll curve your spine
Living with hurt is like serving time

[Hook]

[Verse 2 - Brother Ali:]
I pay homage to obstacles
Thin line between honor and horrible
The healing heart knows the eyes must overflow
Tears clear the windows that guard the soul
Now that the water flow, you can scrub the mud out of your land
The blood out of your hands
But you still gotta cleanse your heart that’s trying to beat inside
And it’s only purified by the tears you cry
You can fight all the devils and slay them
But if you’re made hard at the days end then they win
There’s only one force that can solve all this
I want the warm heart that we all start with
Sometimes we march out, ball our fists
I will give it all up for my softness
You will never invade my Holy place
I let the tears dry on my face

[Hook]

[Verse 3 - Pressure:]
If these walls could talk they’d sing a somber song
And if we stronger from this world that goes on and on
We're scarring like that I made a promise from
For the feeling time to be sitting on a bong
So disengage, hopelessness fades
Reaching out but the dark taking focus away
This road’s paved by the brave without knowing the way
Don’t stray, nobody can build Rome in a day
Now I don't need to satisfy, seize to set a tie
Just the feeling peace and gratify
If we don’t reach for the stars, only reach for satellite
We live in faded color, but dream in black and white
I know our demons walk among us
The struggles is something we do know, not something to become us
So let go of all the suffering and hurt
Yo, unless we ball it up and we burst

[Bridge:]
So I can get through this, so I can get through this
So I can get through this, so I can get through this

[Hook].

Drinking From The Sun Lyrics - Hilltop Hoods

[Verse 1:]
I lay down my music ten feet from where I lay down,
Immersed in them beats, short breaks turned to breakdowns,
‘Cause when you work where you sleep, you don’t sleep,
‘Cause you work on them beats till it hurts then you creep,
Into bed and wake her from her sleep, and she’s hurt,
Cos she worked through the week and hasn’t heard not a word nor a peep,
From the jerk that she keeps in her heart,
That she forgives when he nurse her to sleep, word it’s deep,
But yo when I peel them lids back and emerge from my sleep,
I feel so big that I could make a shirt from my sheet,
A crown from a church steeple, two jeeps for my sneaks,
So people worship this creep as I surf down the street,
I’m the surgeon of beats, your girl purrs when I speak,
We rehearse in a church to a circus of freaks,
We the last ones to lay down, first on our feet,
So stay down or get hurt by what lurks in the deep,
Free the perps from the police, we disturbing the peace,
We flood the streets like a water main burst and released,
A merciless beast with a thirst for the feast,
Man we treat every meal like it’s our first in a week,
We dispersing the weak, I’m the person to beat,
Man I’m unbeatable; I can beat a person for weeks,
We disturbed, we the freaks, we the ones you don’t listen to,
Drinking from the sun, now son we’re the ones dissing you

[Chorus:]
And we don’t, we won’t,
We don’t, and we won’t let the vultures at the counter-culture,
Now we don’t, and we won’t,
We move mountains and drink from the sun

[Verse 2:]
We’re timeless like riders on the storm,
Survivors like the light that rises in the dawn,
If crisis makes fighters of the pawns,
We rise up through the night as lifeless and we’re born,
Fight in my heart, suicide with my art,
Till I depart I’m a write until I light up the dark,
These are battle songs that lift you from your catatonic fixture,
And I can walk on water but I stagger on the liquor,
This ain’t a Saturday sport or matinee talk,
With throw away sentences like the magistrates’ court,
Scratch that, now hear me out, attacks don’t give me doubt,
I drop a powerhouse track black the city out,
And when we lose it let the mood of music reach us,
Coming through the tunes that free us, revolution through your speakers,
The third rock never stops the world turns,
Eyes glued to the clock as we watch the world burn

[Chorus:]
And we don’t, we won’t,
We don’t, and we won’t let the vultures at the counter-culture,
Now we don’t, and we won’t,
We move mountains and drink from the sun

[Verse 3:]
Renegades whenever on centre stage,
That’s my sweat upon the letters I bled on the pen and page,
C’mon, so what’s your rhyming worth? Better get a lawyer ‘cause,
I could crucify your verse just to get a point across,
We’ve been refining and grinding till late night,
Why? ‘Cause even stars lose their shine in the day light,
Linked as one just think what we’ll become,
It’s begun and won’t stop till we’re drinking from the sun.

I'm A Ghost Lyrics - Hilltop Hoods

[Verse 1: Suffa]
Two sheets to the wind in a taxi
Two feet to the wind in the backseat
Two beeps to the car in front of us
And one of us ending up wrapped around the chassis
Think about these rhymes and what they gave me
Sounds out this world, but a microphone and two turntables saved me
Took me around the world and bought me a home
I've seen all these other crews bank too
Not knowing all the ways people helped them
Might not ever get a damn 'thank you'
But they're sure enough gonna get 'you're welcome'
Matter of fact, I ain't leaving
I was here first and I don't believe them
I was here bursting listening to Premo and Chino and Thistin
And missing out on being there for people in person
Cause we don't sleep when we're working
We don't bleed when we're hurting
We wear our heart on our sleeve and I'm certain
That we'll feel the burden 'til we call it curtains
You feel me?...
Do you feel me?...
This that inside the core that can blind with its force
It's the writing on the wall, light it up on the porch
It's 1994, 5 mics in The Source
There's a mighty mighty roar from the crowd and of course
It's this
Do you feel me?...

Went from going through quotes in the liners
To being known for the shows on the fliers
Playing packed rooms, heading to the backroom
To cool down my face with some ice from the rider
Looking out to a crowd full of lighters
And the day those lights don't inspire us
You'll see me walking out, I'm a ghost, I'm gone

[Verse 2: Pressure]
Two sheets on a surface of water
Loose leaf writing worthless and torn up
If I could do these words justice
You'd see how much it's worth that I fought for
Every kid that never got one mention
Every little bit of love or affection
I'm done with pretending the sun is descending
And all good things must come to an end
Cause I swore to the day this is nothing more than a flawed entertainment biz
And I walk away with nothing
And let me tell you something
That's fucking more than I came in with
You feel me?...
Do you feel me?...
And I'd be lying if I said I wasn't grateful
For my life, for my friends, and for the faithful
It's been a ride, but there's been a few times
That I thought I'd lose sight when the effort was too painful
But rap gave me such inspired dream
That maybe touched my life when things
Got a little crazy, and nobody would play me
The ends that plainly justified the means
At last I can we've all been blind
It's hard to believe that all this time
That I wore my heart on my sleeve
For this art and the scene
Gonna be hard when I leave it all behind
You feel me?...
Do you feel me?...

[Pressure/Suffa:]
Low winter sun, light the dawn in gold
I'm a ghost, I'm gone
Though when it's done night is on us all
I'm a ghost, I'm gone
Nowhere to run, writing's on the wall
I'm a ghost, I'm gone
So when it come rise before we fall
I'm a ghost, I'm gone
Low winter sun, light the dawn in gold
I'm a ghost, I'm gone
Broken and done dying on us all
I'm a ghost, I'm gone
Nowhere to run, writing's on the wall
I'm a ghost, I'm gone
So when it comes rise, rise before we fall

Went from going through quotes in the liners
To being known for the shows on the fliers
Playing packed rooms, heading to the backroom
To cool down my face with some ice from the rider
Looking out to a crowd full of lighters
And the day those lights don't inspire us
You'll see me walking out, I'm a ghost.

Cosby Sweater Lyrics - Hilltop Hoods

Watch me do my thing
Get lost into my sing, yeah
Hot, like New Orleans
In Cosby crew and jeans, yeah

Do not awaken, stare a lot and vacant
Living in conditions of the modern matrix
Only bad rhymes running proper naked
Only point I made you with the bullet was a paper
I ain't here to fight some dude, and fuck around with his spouse
I'd rather light your mood and burn it down with the house
Eat your heart from the groove on account of the bounce
And lick her like Tom Cruise, up and down on a couch
Status never mattered, ever acted whether like
Christina Aguilera, just let yourself go
Matter Pressure and endeavor that is better left
Christine track a record to let you all know
Would the kings even home us
But to these kingdoms it won't just
Slap a rapper like Solange Knowles
To the gathering known all that matter like a black hole

And it's all good
And it's all good
And it's all good
And it's all good

I feel like Bobby Fischer
Always four moves ahead of
My competition, listen they ain't gonna stop me ever
I feel as large as Biggie, swear it could not get better
I feel in charge like Biggie, wearing that Cosby sweater
Wearing that Cosby sweater
Wearing that Cosby sweater
Wearing that Cosby sweater
Wearing that Cosby sweater

I'm a step up every chance when I rumble
They all call me champ of the Jungle
It's fitting
I'm a get drunk and dance like your uncle
Until I'm all hands like your uncle
I'm kidding
The venomous, and then when I enter, then it's over
When I'm spitting venom, I'm as generous as Oprah
You get a scar! You get a scar! You get a scar!
Me drunk in the back of a rental car
Pat Benatar, love is a battlefield
Here to get you out your seat like a battle drill
I'm in the saddle still, a little saddle sore
Smash you out the stratosphere, flashy as a matador
When I'm dressed like Theo's Dad
In a cougie listening to Kool G Rap
I won't beat around the bush like a seventies porn
I'll make you wish that you'd never been born

And it's all good
And it's all good
And it's all good
And it's all good

I feel like Bobby Fischer
Always four moves ahead of
My competition, listen they ain't gonna stop me ever
I feel as large as Biggie, swear it could not get better
I feel in charge like Biggie, wearing that Cosby sweater
Wearing that Cosby sweater
Wearing that Cosby sweater
Wearing that Cosby sweater
Wearing that Cosby sweater

Take a ride on the wild side of this alley
We could fire up the night like Prince Harry
Fuck the high life, we could vibe like
We got white lines hanging from behind like we're just married

I'll turn the art form into a bloodsport
I make pea soup out of a pea brain
They wanna run the streets like parkour
I'd rather run these tracks like a steam train

I feel like Bobby Fischer
Always four moves ahead of
My competition, listen they ain't gonna stop me ever
I feel as large as Biggie, swear it could not get better
I feel in charge like Biggie, wearing that Cosby sweater
Wearing that Cosby sweater
Wearing that Cosby sweater
Wearing that Cosby sweater
Wearing that Cosby sweater

Wearing that Cosby sweater
Wearing that Cosby sweater.

Shut Up And Dance Lyrics - Walk The Moon

Oh don't you dare look back
Just keep your eyes on me.
I said you're holding back,
She said shut up and dance with me!
This woman is my destiny
She said oh oh oh
Shut up and dance with me

We were victims of the night,
The chemical, physical, kryptonite
Helpless to the bass and faded light
Oh we were born to get together,
Born to get together.

She took my arm,
I don't know how it happened.
We took the floor and she said

Oh don't you dare look back
Just keep your eyes on me.
I said you're holding back,
She said shut up and dance with me!
This woman is my destiny
She said oh oh oh
Shut up and dance with me

A backless dress and some beat up sneaks,
My discothèque, Juliet teenage dream.
I felt it in my chest as she looked at me.
I knew we were born to be together,
Born to be together

She took my arm,
I don't know how it happened.
We took the floor and she said

Oh don't you dare look back
Just keep your eyes on me.
I said you're holding back,
She said shut up and dance with me!
This woman is my destiny
She said oh oh oh
Shut up and dance with me

Deep in her eyes,
I think i see the future.
I realize this is my last chance.

She took my arm,
I don't know how it happened.
We took the floor and she said

Oh don't you dare look back
Just keep your eyes on me.
I said you're holding back,
She said shut up and dance with me!
This woman is my destiny
She said oh oh oh
Shut up and dance!

Oh don't you dare look back
Just keep your eyes on me.
I said you're holding back,
She said shut up and dance with me!
This woman is my destiny
She said oh oh oh
Shut up and dance with me

Oh oh oh shut up dance with me [2x].

Immortals Lyrics - Fall Out Boy

They say we are what we are,
But we don't have to be,
I'm bad behavior but I do it in the best way,
I'll be the watcher (watcher) of the eternal flame,
I'll be the guard dog of all your fever dreams,

Oooooooh
I am the sand in the bottom half of the hourglass (glass, glass)
Oooooooh,
I try to picture me without you but I can't

'Cause we could be immortals, immortals
Just not for long, for long,
And live with me forever now,
Pull the blackout curtains down,
Just not for long, for long,
Because we could be immooooooo- immortals,
Immooooooo- immortals,
Immooooooo- immortals,
Immooooooo- immortals,

Sometimes the only pay off for having any faith,
Is when it's tested again and again everyday,
I'm still comparing your past to my future,
It might be your wound but they're my sutures,

Oooooooh
I am the sand in the bottom half of the hourglass (glass, glass)
Oooooooh,
I try to picture me without you but I can't

'Cause we could be immortals, immortals,
Just not for long, for long,
And live with me forever now,
Pull the blackout curtains down,
Just not for long, for long,
We could be immooooooo- immortals,
Immooooooo- immortals,

Immortals,
And live with me forever now,
Pull the blackout curtains down,

we could be immortals, immortals,
Just not for long, for long,
We could be immooooooo- immortals,
Immooooooo- immortals,
Immooooooo- immortals,
Immooooooo- immortals,.

All For One Lyrics - Five For Fighting

Blood on the Ground
Sun turning red
Head over heels
Over our heads
Trouble will rise
Tears will be shed
Wherever we go
Whatever comes next

We'll always
We'll always be
One for all and all for one

Bridges we've crossed
Battles we've had
Love we have lost
Dreams we have shared

We'll always
We'll always be
One for all and all for one

All for one
My Brother
My Self
My Savior
My Friend
The fire we are
The fire will end
If I should fall
Or you don't make it back
Together we'll rise
Together we'll stand

We'll always
We'll always be
One for all and all for one

We'll always
We'll always be
One for all and all for one
One for all and all for one

All for one.

High Hopes Lyrics - Pink Floyd

Beyond the horizon of the place we lived when we were young
In a world of magnets and miracles
Our thoughts strayed constantly and without boundary
The ringing of the division bell had begun

Along the Long Road and on down the Causeway
Do they still meet there by the Cut

There was a ragged band that followed in our footsteps
Running before time took our dreams away
Leaving the myriad small creatures trying to tie us to the ground
To a life consumed by slow decay

The grass was greener
The light was brighter
With friends surrounded
The nights of wonder

Looking beyond the embers of bridges glowing behind us
To a glimpse of how green it was on the other side
Steps taken forwards but sleepwalking back again
Dragged by the force of some inner tide

At a higher altitude with flag unfurled
We reached the dizzy heights of that dreamed of world

Encumbered forever by desire and ambition
There's a hunger still unsatisfied
Our weary eyes still stray to the horizon
Though down this road we've been so many times

The grass was greener
The light was brighter
The taste was sweeter
The nights of wonder
With friends surrounded
The dawn mist glowing
The water flowing
The endless river

Forever and ever.
